Kim Carroll, LPC, owner, Full-Time Clinician
Kim is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia who has a heart and passion for helping others work through trauma. She is a recent empty nester of 2 amazing kids who are now adulting. She is also learning to navigate life after losing her husband, aka Tall Boyfriend. Kim has always had a passion for opening her heart and her home to others and is finding purpose in a new season of life. She believes in laughter, maybe even at inappropriate times, often finding joy in the least likely of places. She loves surprising others with what may seem like lofty, spontaneous ideas although she has poured many thoughts and much time over them all. Her hobbies include woodworking, motorcycle riding, Jeepin’, cooking, and swimming.
Kim obtained a B.S. in Psychology at Evangel University in Springfield, MO and a M.A. in Licensed Professional Counseling at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. She also provides Trauma-Focused therapy, is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and is a Certified Grief Counseling Specialist. She applies an eclectic therapy style drawing from evidence-based and trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other approaches. She has experience with a variety of issues including bipolar and personality disorders, ADHD, conduct disorders, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and more. She has worked in the schools, homes, hospital, and in an outpatient setting with clients of all ages and disorders specializing in complex trauma. She also has supervised bachelor’s and master’s level staff and clinicians participating in internship and residency. She is approved in the state of Virginia to supervise Residents seeking licensure. Kim recently became a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional to assist clients who would like to incorporate change in eating, exercise, sleep or other integrative approaches into their mental health treatment.
Heather Lynch, LPC, owner, Full-Time Clinician
Heather is a wife, a mom of three beautiful girls and is dedicated to her family. She loves looking at things through a positive lens and finding a little bit of light no matter how dark the day. She is passionate about investing in people, whether it be clients and their families or clinicians within her supervision. Whether in her personal or professional life, she pours herself into praying for others while giving time and encouragement to those whom God places in her path. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has devoted her career to improving the quality of mental health care in her community. She loves to laugh and always enjoys life’s crazy moments, often incorporating them into a life-lesson or inspiring word for someone who needs a boost.
Heather has worked in the mental health field across Southwest Virginia for over 15 year. She obtained her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Virginia at Wise and M.A in Counseling: Marriage and Family Therapy from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee. She is a Certified Grief Counseling Specialist and also certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She has provided services to individuals families of all ages and disorders. She has extensive experience with children and families and with multiple challenges such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum, conduct disorders, just to name a few. She draws from multiple therapeutic models, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and utilizes evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches. She is known for and gifted with the ability to grow clinicians and push them beyond their comfort zone and sometimes into leadership positions. She has over 10 years of experience supervising bachelor’s and master’s level clinicians. She is approved in the state of Virginia to supervise Residents seeking licensure. Kristina Endicott, LPC, Full-Time Clinician
Krissy obtained her B.A. at Lindsey Wilson College and also obtained her M.Ed. at Lindsey Wilson college. Krissy uses an eclectic approach when providing therapy, which includes dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and client-centered therapy. Krissy uses a trauma informed and a person-centered approach to assist clients through the therapeutic process. She will also be seeing clients in homes and communities through our Counseling-to-Go services. She is a licensed counselor in Virginia and certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and has 9 years of experience with clients of all ages. She has extensive experience with Autism, ADHD, Bipolar Disorders, Personality Disorders, ODD, Anxiety, Depression, and others. She has worked in homes, schools, in the community, and in office outpatient setting.
In her free time, she loves to spend time with her two beautiful baby boys and exploring the spearhead trails. She is also an avid collector of Rae Dunn!
Misty Hill, QMHP, Full-Time Administrative Coordinator
Misty Hill, QMHP is the person who keeps us all straight. As administrative coordinator, she manages scheduling, answers the phone, does insurance billing, and many other office responsibilities. She also assists on Counseling To Go cases in the homes and Communities of Dickenson County. Misty graduated from Clinch Valley College (now UVA-Wise) with a BS in Psychology. She went on to work in the public school system, became director of the first childcare center in Dickenson County, taught and supervised at Head Start, and eventually found her passion in the mental health field. She has over 20 years of experience working with children and families and is in her element when she is helping others. She is now dipping her toes into the administrative/office management side of things, but still provides services to children and families.
Misty is a wife and mom of now two adult children. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and taking day trips on the Harley. Misty is an animal lover. She currently has 3 dogs and two cats including a toddler Bloodhound. She would have more if she could! Misty will greet you with a genuine smile every day!
Jessica Sykes, LPC, LSATP, Part-Time Clinician
Jessica provides outpatient counseling 1-2 days a week. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as well as a Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner. She approaches counseling with a holistic integrative perspective and tailors interventions to the individual need allowing the growth of the therapeutic relationship and to help others reach their full potential. Jess is an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Bluefield University. She maintains extensive knowledge in mental health and substance use disorders, earning two Master’s Degrees. The first, a Masters of Education Counseling and Guidance(.M.Ed.) from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee in 2006 and the second a Masters of Education in Counseling and Human Development (M.Ed.) in 2019 from Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Kentucky. Jessica is a 3rd year Doctoral Student in Counselor Education and Supervision (Ph.D.) at Lindsey Wilson College.
Cameron Carroll, Full-Time Administrative Assistant
Cameron is our Administrative Assistant. He is working on a business degree from Liberty University. He assists with scheduling, billing, and some accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities. He is a jack of all trades and helps out in the office when the need arises. He enjoys spending time with his friends and family, playing his guitar and singing, walking in the woods, reading, and riding his motorcycle. His future plans include running his own business, so he is getting lots of great experience!
